Avalon Contest Frequently Asked Questions
When is contest registration?
Registration period will begin on April 15th and run through May 31st, 2010.
Q. How long does registration last?
A rolling registration period will be used in order to accommodate individual traders’ schedules. Registration will last until May 31st, 2010.
How many times can a contestant register?
Each contestant may register only once for the contest. Contestants with multiple accounts will be disqualified.
When does the contest start?
The contest starts as soon as the contestant completes the registration process. The registration date will be their first day of contest trading.
How long does the trading contest last for each contestant?
Trading contest duration will be 30 days starting on the date of each individual registration. Open positions will be liquidated at the end of business on the 30th day after registration date.
When does the contest end?
The entire contest will end on June 29th at 5:00PM EST, which is 30 days from the last day of registration.
Will I be able to register after May 31st, 2010?
No registration will be accepted after May 31st, 2010.
How do I know if I am winning the contest?
Each contestant can trade a demo contest account for 30 days beginning on the registration date. Trading performance will be evaluated based on account equity in the demo contest account at the end of the 30 day period. Trading results of the top 3 contestants will be posted on http://www.mfglobalfx.ca/avalon_demo_contest.html as they are tallied and the final results will be announced after June 29th 2010.
Do I need to deposit any funds to enter?
No funds are required to enter the contest. It’s absolutely free.
What statistics are tracked for each contestant?
Reports can be found in the trading terminal. Traders’ Account Equity will determine the leaders and ultimate winners of the contest.
How are contestants ranked?
Traders with the 3 highest account equity amounts in their demo contest accounts will win the trading contest.
Can other people in the contest see my trades?
No. Individual trades are not displayed to other traders in the contest.
What is the starting balance of the demo contest account?
$50,000.
Is the contest for trading a real or live account?
The contest is for demo trading. Contest participants have no obligation to open a live trading account.
When do the winners receive their prizes and how?
Winners will be individually notified of their contest placement and the status of their prizes.
When are the prizes awarded?
Prizes are awarded at the end of the contest after June 29th 2010.

My account is locked. How can I reset my password?
If you make more than 3 unsuccessful attempts to log in, the system will lock you out for security reasons. Email us at avalonsupport@mfglobalfx.ca and we will reset your password. If your account equity is below margin requirement, you can unlock the account by reducing exposure so that equity is not exceeded by the total margin requirement of all open positions.
