Funding Instructions

 

  1. Certified Cheque in Canadian Dollar or U.S. Dollar, payable to MF Global Canada Co., drawn on a Canadian bank account in the name of the client opening the MF Global FX Trading Account.

  2. Wire Transfer in Canadian Dollar or U.S. Dollar from a bank account in the name of the client opening the MF Global FX Trading Account (Please contact admin@mfglobalfx.ca for wire instructions.) The wire instructions for domestic and international wires are different. In order to expedite your wire transfer, please use the appropriate wire instructions. PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO DEPOSIT FUNDS DIRECTLY INTO OUR BANK ACCOUNTS.

  3. Bank Draft or Money Order in Canadian Dollar or U.S. Dollar, payable to MF Global Canada Co., drawn on a Canadian bank. A bank draft or money order must be submitted with the Bank Draft or Money Order Verification Letter completed by the issuing bank confirming the source of funds from the bank account of the client opening the MF Global FX Trading Account.

  4. Uncertified or Personal Cheque in Canadian Dollar or U.S. Dollar, payable to MF Global Canada Co., drawn on a Canadian bank account in the name of the client. PLEASE NOTE THAT FUNDS WILL BE CREDITED TO YOUR TRADING ACCOUNT AFTER 10 BUSINESS DAYS.

  5. Clients of Royal Bank of Canada, Scotiabank, Desjardins and National Bank of Canada may use the Bill Payment method to fund their MF Global FX Trading Accounts. Since the Bill Payment method is only available for Canadian Dollar deposits, funds sent to U.S. Dollar trading accounts will be converted. These payments are NOT same day payments and it will take at least 1 business day for funds to be credited.

 

Please note that Third Party Payments are not permitted and that funds will only be credited to a trading account bearing the name of the remitter. Please do not deposit funds directly into our bank account. If mailing a deposit, please send it to:

  • Please make all cheques payable to MF Global Canada Co.
  • MF Global Canada does not make payment to or credit funds from a third party.
  • Cheques drawn on foreign bank accounts are not accepted and will be returned.
  • New accounts should state: "Client Name, Temporary ID #", i.e. John Smith, M4FX00000.
  • Certified Cheques, Money Orders and Bank Drafts will be deposited into your trading account upon receipt.
  • Personal Cheques will be credited to your trading account after 10 business days.
  • Please indicate your Account # on all wires, cheques, withdrawal requests, and any correspondence with MF Global Canada to expedite processing.
  • Funds deposited in Canadian Dollars to a U.S. Dollar trading account are converted to U.S. Dollars at a rate (mark-up will apply) which will be disclosed to you via the Report function on your trading platform.

 

Funding New Accounts:

 

Please DO NOT send funds until your account application has been processed by MF Global FX. Account approval usually takes one to two business days and you will be advised by e-mail that your account is ready for funding. Once funds are credited to your new account, you will be emailed login information so that you can begin trading without delay.
